 Title: Business Development Manager – Planned Maintenance Agreements (PMA)  Job Summary:

Xylem is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our Industry & Infrastructure team to build strategic customer relationships to secure medium to large PMA business / contracts, which cover the full Xylem offering associated with PMA’s in all Xylem UK/I markets with focus in the Industry and residential markets Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities: 

  • With a proactive mindset – create and excute strategic plans for new medium to large PMA opportunities converting to sales, working closely with the Industry & Infrastrucure UK Sales Manager and the PMA new sales internal lead
  • Leading the preparation and completion, working with the PMA new sales internal lead, to sign off of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ’s), Invitation to Tenders (ITT’s) and tender documents in alignment with customer requirements.
  • Work with the Xylem sales teams and specifically the Planned Maintenance Agreements (PMA) internal sales manager and Internal new PMA sales lead in developing the sales growth of PMAs in line with Xylem Water Solutions Strategy. This to include both sales revenue and market share development.
  • Organise, facilitate and deliver Xylem Presentations, Lunch & Learns etc. direct to all Customer variants.   Ability to organise customer events such as innovation days, site visits, factory visits and other associated customer facing events as part of the annual marketing plan or the strategic customer business plan for PMAs.
  • To research and maintain market intelligence, including information on competitors and price levels to assist in day to day decisions and the formulation of strategy and budget planning regarding the allocated markets and products.  Build a better knowledge on market pricing and opportunity funnel.
  • The lead for the customer facing documentation, working with the PMA new sales internal lead and marketing department, ensuring a current and informative approach is presented to our customer base.
  • CRM system working with the internal PMA team for new PMA opportunities ensuring medium and large PMA information is MANC scored with order close dates are current at all times.
  • Working with the PMA new sales internal lead, investigating Barbour ABI and other external market opportunity tools, reviewing potential leads and accountable to develop through to proposals and sales.
  • Drive new sales targets & achieve/exceed quarterly sales targets with high volume new business PMAs
  • Develop multi-site customers with new sites and offerings
  • Reporting to management / monthly reporting covering new PMA opportunities and sales – KPI’s
  • Assist the company in maintaining the highest possible standards of Health & Safety at Work and Quality, this in accordance with current legislation and policies laid down by
  • Any other duties, within your capabilities, as required by Management.
  • Ensuring customer accounts are managed effectively from a Finance perspective by working closely with Xylem Accounts department to ensure accounts do not become overdue and that measures are in place to monitor customer payments.
